NYU tends to fit students who want international options woven directly into their college experience rather than treated as an add-on. A lot of its advising, course planning, and academic systems are designed with movement between sites in mind, so students often have more built-in flexibility. If you are excited by the idea of taking regular NYU courses with NYU faculty at another global campus, that is a real advantage.

UIUC is still a strong option for a student who wants study abroad access within a more traditional large public university setting.
