University of Minnesota vs MIT for physics: which is better for an undergraduate physics major?

I’m trying to decide between the University of Minnesota and MIT for physics, and I’m mostly focused on the undergraduate experience. I care about strength of the physics department, research opportunities, and how well each school would prepare me for grad school or a physics career.
