Which is better for internships: University of San Diego or University of San Francisco?

For internships during college, University of San Francisco usually has the edge because of location. Being in San Francisco makes it much easier to reach part-time internships during the semester, especially in tech, startups, finance, media, nonprofits, and public policy. USF students can often commute to opportunities in the city without needing a car or waiting for summer.

USF fits the student who wants internship access built into everyday life. If you like the idea of taking classes and also spending part of the week at a company, nonprofit, hospital, or city organization nearby, that setup is more natural there. The school’s urban setting creates a steady stream of semester-time opportunities and networking events, which matters a lot if your priority is getting experience before senior year.

University of San Diego can still be very strong, especially for students drawn to business, law, nonprofit work, education, healthcare, and fields tied to the San Diego regional economy.
