University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign vs Virginia Tech for aerospace engineering: which is better for undergrad?

For internships and first jobs, that broader engineering brand can matter because aerospace employers often hire across multiple engineering majors and value schools with deep technical pipelines.

One big differentiator is employer reach. UIUC sends students into a very large national recruiting ecosystem, not just in aerospace but also in defense, manufacturing, robotics, software, and graduate research pathways.
