Day to day, Purdue usually offers more visible campus-centered traditions and a stronger sense that student life revolves around the university itself. Miami often feels more split between campus life and the broader city, which can be exciting but also less all-in on the campus bubble.

At Purdue, the social atmosphere is busy, spirited, and often very group-based. There are tons of clubs, major school pride around athletics and traditions, and enough students that almost anyone can find a niche, but you may need to be intentional early because a large campus can feel impersonal at first.
