How does University of San Diego admissions difficulty compare to UCLA?

The biggest practical tradeoff is selectivity level: UCLA is in a much more competitive admissions tier, while the University of San Diego is selective but noticeably more attainable for a broader range of applicants. UCLA draws an enormous applicant pool, especially from California, and its admissions process is intensely competitive across academics, activities, and context.
