Is Auburn or Georgia Tech harder to get into?

Georgia Tech is harder to get into overall. It draws a very large national and international applicant pool, has especially intense competition for engineering, computer science, and other STEM majors, and its admissions bar is notably tougher than Auburn’s in both selectivity and academic profile.

For a student with very strong grades in a rigorous curriculum, high-level math and science preparation, and interest in a highly demanding tech-focused environment, Georgia Tech is the school that tends to be the bigger admissions reach.

Auburn is still selective, but it is more accessible overall and usually sits in a different admissions category than Georgia Tech.
