UCLA or Rice for physics: which is better for undergrads?
I’m a high school senior trying to decide where I’d be happier studying physics, and UCLA and Rice are both on my list. I know they’re very different schools, and I’m mostly trying to figure out which one tends to be stronger for an undergraduate physics experience.

Rice has the edge for undergraduate physics if your priority is close faculty access, small classes, and a more intentionally undergraduate-centered academic experience.
