LMU sits near Playa Vista, Marina del Rey, Venice, Santa Monica, Culver City, and LAX, so you are close to a lot of restaurants, entertainment, and off-campus opportunities without needing to travel far. Even though Los Angeles traffic is real and a car helps, the campus is positioned in a part of LA that gives you a lot of options quickly.

Chapman’s strongest location advantage is that the immediate area is more pleasant and manageable on foot. Old Towne Orange has a classic college-town feel with local cafes, restaurants, and shops right by campus, and the area tends to feel calmer and more cohesive than LMU’s surroundings.
