Its Vancouver location helps with global industry ties, and its research profile is highly visible internationally.

For employment, neither school gives a universal prestige advantage that will override actual experience. A McGill degree may open slightly more instant recognition in some countries, while a UBC degree may resonate more in places and industries with strong links to Vancouver and the Asia-Pacific.
