Is Lehigh or Ohio State better for business?

Both can lead to strong internships and jobs, but they do it in different ways: Lehigh tends to offer closer mentorship and easier visibility, and Ohio State offers a much bigger campus ecosystem with more employers in the mix.

One concrete difference is class environment. Lehigh’s College of Business is much smaller, so it is usually easier to build relationships with faculty, join selective student organizations, and get leadership roles without competing against quite as many students. That can matter for internships because recommendations, advising, and early hands-on experience are often more accessible.

Another difference is recruiting geography and alumni presence. Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business has a very large alumni network and strong name recognition, especially in the Midwest and with major national employers. For students targeting big corporate internships in areas like finance, accounting, operations, marketing, or supply chain, Ohio State often gives you more on-campus employer activity simply because of its size and reach.

Lehigh has a strong reputation with employers too, especially in the Northeast, and its smaller scale can help students stand out more easily. In practice, a motivated student at either school can do well, but Lehigh often feels more high-touch, while Ohio State can require more initiative to navigate a larger system.

If your priority is the strongest overall undergraduate business experience in terms of attention, access, and a close-knit professional network, I would lean Lehigh. If your priority is broad recruiting exposure, a huge alumni base, and lots of large-company pathways, Ohio State is very compelling.
