Is the University of Georgia or Clemson University better for marketing majors?
I’m trying to decide between these two schools and I want to study marketing. Both seem like good options overall, but I’m mainly looking at which one has the stronger marketing program and better opportunities for internships and jobs after graduation.
I’m a high school senior trying to narrow down my college list, and I’d like to know which school is generally considered the better choice for someone interested in marketing.

For marketing, the University of Georgia usually has the stronger overall edge. UGA’s Terry College of Business is especially well regarded, and being in Athens puts you within reach of Atlanta, which matters a lot for internships, agency work, corporate marketing, brand management, and networking.
UGA makes the most sense for a student who wants a traditional business school environment with a larger alumni network in business-heavy fields. Marketing students there benefit from Terry’s name recognition, access to student business organizations, and proximity to major employers in Georgia.
Clemson can still be a very good pick, especially for a student who wants a more campus-centered experience and likes Clemson’s culture, school spirit, and strong overall career support. It is a solid university with good outcomes, and a motivated student can absolutely build strong marketing experience there.
If you are comparing them mainly on the strength of the marketing program itself, employer visibility, and internship access, I would lean UGA. Clemson becomes more compelling if you strongly prefer its campus environment, size, or feel and you are confident you would take initiative with clubs, internships, and networking.
