USC has the stronger overall reputation in media-related fields, especially because of its communications, cinematic arts, and entertainment ecosystem. The Trojan alumni network is also a real asset in industries where relationships can open doors early.

Arizona State is not a weak option at all. ASU has a large, well-resourced university environment, strong professional programming, and a reputation for being practical and career-minded.
