Boulder has broader strength in engineering, environmental sciences, business, and research-driven fields, while Fordham is especially attractive for business, finance, communications, political science, and students who want regular access to internships during the school year.

On pure value, CU Boulder usually has the clearer edge for Colorado residents. Public flagship tuition can make the total cost much easier to justify, and Boulder has the scale, course variety, and employer recognition to support a solid return in many majors. If you are out of state, though, Boulder becomes a more complicated value case because the price can rise enough that the gap with a private school narrows.
