Delaware can absolutely be the smarter financial choice if it is meaningfully cheaper, but on a straight overall-value comparison, Penn State has the stronger case.

Penn State’s alumni network is one of its biggest assets, and that matters for job leads, mentoring, and employer familiarity in many regions and industries. A Penn State degree tends to carry more immediate recognition nationally, while Delaware is respected but more regionally concentrated.
