Which is better for accounting, University of Maryland or University of Delaware?

The biggest tradeoff is reputation and recruiting reach versus a somewhat smaller, often more personal setting. For accounting specifically, the University of Maryland usually has the stronger overall edge because the Smith School is more nationally visible, sits close to Washington, DC, and tends to offer broader access to internships, employer events, and alumni connections. Delaware is still a solid option, but Maryland is more often the school people mean when they talk about a higher-powered business network in this comparison.

Maryland’s location matters a lot for accounting. Being near DC, Baltimore, and other major employers can make internships during the school year more realistic, and that kind of access is valuable in accounting because recruiting often starts early and builds through repeated employer contact.
