Syracuse University is in a city too, but its hilltop campus feels more self-contained and residential, with a clearer separation between campus and downtown.

Getting around is a big difference. At Temple, students can realistically use public transit for internships, concerts, restaurants, sports, and neighborhoods across Philadelphia without needing a car, and Center City is a routine destination rather than a special trip.
