Does Harvard accept superscore SAT/ACT scores?
I've been trying to find a clear answer on whether Harvard accepts superscoring for the SAT or ACT. My test scores are kind of all over the place, but if I combine my highest section scores from different dates, my superscore would be quite a bit higher.
I've seen mixed information online, and I'm feeling a bit anxious since Harvard is one of my top choices. For context, I've taken the SAT three times and the ACT twice, and I'm hoping they'll look at my best possible combination. If anyone has gotten a straight answer from their admissions or has already gone through this process, I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences you can share.
Just trying to figure out if it’s worth submitting all my test dates or if I should just focus on the one highest composite score.

Harvard does accept superscores, so you can absolutely send in your scores from multiple test dates and they'll evaluate you based on the highest section scores across those dates. For the SAT, Harvard specifically mentions that applicants are encouraged to submit all their SAT scores, and the admissions committee will consider the highest section scores when evaluating your application. They take your top Math and top Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section scores, even if those happened on different test dates, and combine them for your superscore.
For the ACT, Harvard will also consider your highest individual section scores from multiple sittings, so your ACT superscore (the sum of your best section scores, even from different test dates) is also considered. When reporting your ACT scores, make sure to send the official score reports from each date where you scored well in one or more sections so Harvard can piece together your best possible combination.
Here’s an example: If you scored 700 Math and 650 Reading on the SAT in March, but 620 Math and 760 Reading in May, Harvard will use the 700 Math and 760 Reading for your application review, totaling to a 1460 superscore.
When you send your scores to Harvard, it’s recommended to send all your relevant SAT or ACT scores (not just the highest composite). On their website, Harvard says this gives them the most complete picture of your academic potential.
If you’re ever in doubt, check Harvard’s admissions website for the latest info or send a quick email to their admissions office. But you’re in a good spot to benefit from superscoring, so definitely take advantage and submit all test dates where you scored well on any section.
