Clemson is in a smaller town, so a lot of undergraduate fun comes from campus events, tailgates, Greek life, lake culture, and a very unified school spirit. For students who like the idea that most people are doing the same few things on weekends, that can make the atmosphere feel especially cohesive. It often comes across as more intimate and tradition-heavy.

Tennessee has the SEC sports energy too, but Knoxville adds more restaurants, concerts, internships, and off-campus options. That can make weekends feel less repetitive, especially if you are not someone who wants your social life to revolve mainly around football and campus traditions. The larger scale of the university also tends to mean more clubs, more scenes, and more chances to find your niche.
