Does UMass Amherst or Colby College have a better small college feel?

Since you specifically care about seeing familiar faces and not feeling lost, Colby is the clearer match. At UMass, many students do build strong communities, but they usually do so by carving out niches within the larger campus. At Colby, the smaller college feel is much more built into everyday life.
