If you mean big-name athletics, traditions, and broad institutional pride, Boston College has a real presence there as well.

Bucknell’s residential setup and small-town location push a lot of social life onto campus, which usually creates a stronger sense that people are sharing the same routines, events, and conversations. Students often describe the community as very involved and very aware of what is happening around campus. That can translate into a more immediate, visible kind of spirit, since the school is the center of daily life.

Boston College absolutely has school pride, especially around athletics, traditions, and identity, and alumni attachment is notably strong. But because BC sits next to Boston and has a somewhat broader mix of student rhythms, the social atmosphere can feel a little less concentrated in one central campus bubble.
