Is James Madison University or Villanova University better for business?

Villanova has the edge for business. Its business school has a stronger national reputation, tighter connection to major employers in the Northeast, and a more established profile in fields like finance, accounting, and consulting. For an undergraduate who wants the business program itself to carry more immediate name recognition, Villanova is usually the more powerful credential.

One big differentiator is employer access and alumni reach. Villanova benefits from being just outside Philadelphia and from a very active alumni network in East Coast business hubs, especially in finance and corporate roles. That tends to matter for internships during the school year, recruiting visibility, and networking when you are trying to break into more competitive business tracks.
