Is University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign or Duke better for grad school preparation?

That matters because grad school applications depend heavily on sustained faculty support, detailed letters, and evidence that you have done serious academic work beyond just earning good grades.

Professionally, both schools place students well, but the type of support may feel different. UIUC can be fantastic for students who are independent, comfortable navigating a large system, and ready to take advantage of a very wide academic ecosystem.
