Tufts is in Medford and Somerville, with a hilltop campus that feels more self-contained, but Boston is still very reachable by transit.

At Georgetown, day-to-day life is shaped by D.C. even when you are not intentionally seeking it out. Students can get to internships, museums, political events, and neighborhoods across the city without making it feel like a special trip. The tradeoff is that Georgetown’s immediate area feels urban and busy, and the campus blends more into the surrounding neighborhood rather than feeling tucked away.

At Tufts, the campus itself tends to be more central to student life. It has a stronger sense of separation from the city, which many students like because it creates a tighter residential and student-centered atmosphere.
