The biggest practical tradeoff is established U.S. business recruiting and the co-op system in Boston versus a smaller, newer London campus with access to the UK market and a more intimate undergraduate setup. Northeastern University in Boston has a much more developed business ecosystem through the D’Amore-McKim School of Business, plus the university’s long-running co-op model, which is one of its strongest advantages for internships and early career experience. Northeastern University London is tied to the same broader brand, but it is not viewed as the same thing as doing your business degree through the main Boston campus.

For undergraduate business specifically, Boston is the stronger option in most cases. D’Amore-McKim is a well-established business school with deeper employer connections, more alumni in U.S. finance, consulting, marketing, and entrepreneurship, and a far more traditional campus experience. If your goal is internships throughout college and a smoother path into business recruiting, Northeastern’s Boston location and co-op structure give it a real edge.

Northeastern University London can still make sense, especially if you want to build your network in the UK or prefer a smaller academic environment in a major global city. But it is newer, less established in business, and typically won’t carry the same weight with employers who specifically know Northeastern for its Boston-based co-op model and business school.
