Is the University of Miami or USC more prestigious for college admissions and recruiting?

If you mean overall national prestige, USC is usually seen as having the stronger reputation. It tends to carry more weight in general academic name recognition, has especially strong visibility in fields like business, film, engineering, and communications, and shows up more often in conversations about top private universities. University of Miami is well known and respected, but its reputation is more regionally concentrated and not usually placed in quite the same tier nationally.
