Georgia Tech or Purdue for robotics: which is better for undergraduate robotics?
I’m a high school senior trying to narrow down my college list, and both Georgia Tech and Purdue keep coming up when I look at robotics programs. I know they’re both strong engineering schools, but I’m mostly trying to understand which one has the better overall robotics experience for undergrads.
I’m interested in things like the depth of the robotics opportunities, access to research or student teams, and how strong the program feels for someone who wants to study robotics in college.

For undergraduate robotics, Georgia Tech usually has the more cohesive robotics ecosystem. Purdue can be especially attractive if you want flexibility to explore robotics through manufacturing, controls, embedded systems, or mechatronics without needing the school to label everything explicitly as robotics.
I would lean toward Purdue for a student who cares most about big engineering scale, strong project teams, and building a customized path through a very large technical university. I would lean toward Georgia Tech for a student who wants robotics to feel more central, more interdisciplinary, and more embedded in both research and campus culture from day one.
