It also has a lively walkable atmosphere, with lots of students out on foot and a campus layout that feels woven into daily student life.

One big difference is architectural character. UVA has a very unified visual identity, with brick colonnades, white columns, historic buildings, and green open spaces that all fit together. Richmond is also attractive, but its campus often feels more polished and landscaped than visually unforgettable. Many students describe Richmond as serene and elegant, while UVA feels more grand and memorable.
