Which school has better school spirit: Virginia Tech or Tulane?

Virginia Tech tends to have the stronger, more visible school spirit as an everyday campus experience. It is one of those schools where athletics, traditions, and shared rituals are deeply woven into student life, and football weekends in particular shape the feel of campus in a big way. Enter Sandman, Lane Stadium, and the overall Hokie identity are not just marketing points; they are things students actually rally around.

Virginia Tech is the clearer fit for someone who wants a classic high-energy college atmosphere where a large portion of the student body is emotionally invested in games and traditions. School spirit there feels centralized and collective, partly because Blacksburg is very much a college town, so campus events can become the main event. That setup usually creates a stronger sense that students are all participating in the same culture.

Tulane has real spirit too, but it feels different. It fits students who want school pride mixed with a more independent, city-based social life. New Orleans gives Tulane a lot of energy, but some of that energy comes from the city itself rather than from a unified campus culture.
