Is Virginia Tech or the University of Washington more fun as a college experience?

Washington appeals more to students who want their fun to come from variety and the city around them. UW has a beautiful campus, lots of student organizations, major school spirit during football season, and easy access to Seattle neighborhoods, concerts, food, internships, and off-campus exploring.

UW is often a better match for someone independent who enjoys building their own social life rather than stepping into one dominant campus culture. A student who likes trying new restaurants, going downtown, seeing live music, spending time on the water, or mixing campus life with city life may find Washington more exciting.

So in pure “college experience” terms, Virginia Tech usually wins on concentrated fun and community.
