Is Northeastern or Stevens better for landing tech jobs after college?

For tech jobs, Northeastern usually has the broader recruiting pipeline and stronger national visibility, while Stevens can be especially appealing for students who want tight access to the New York City market and a more engineering-centered environment. Northeastern’s co-op system is the biggest difference here: it is deeply built into the undergraduate experience, and that tends to translate into more structured work experience before graduation.

Northeastern fits the student who wants lots of employer touchpoints, a larger alumni network across multiple cities, and a college experience where alternating between school and full-time work is normal.

Stevens makes sense for someone who wants a smaller, more focused tech-and-engineering community and plans to take advantage of proximity to Manhattan from day one. Employers in finance, fintech, consulting, defense, and applied engineering know Stevens well, and students who hustle can build strong internship experience during the school year because of the location.

If the question is pure reputation and pipeline for landing a solid tech job, I’d give Northeastern the edge because of the scale of its co-op program, wider employer network, and stronger national brand. I’d lean Stevens only if you strongly prefer a smaller STEM-heavy school and are pretty sure you want to build your career in or near New York.
