Is Georgia Tech or Cal Poly better for engineering students?

Cal Poly’s biggest advantage is its hands-on undergraduate experience. Its learn-by-doing approach is real, and many students love that classes and projects are practical from the start rather than heavily theory-first. For someone who wants a more teaching-centered environment with a strong applied focus, Cal Poly can feel more directly undergraduate-focused than Georgia Tech.
