Johns Hopkins vs Brown for computer science: which is better for undergrad CS?

I’m a high school senior trying to decide between Johns Hopkins and Brown for computer science. Both seem strong, but I’m trying to understand which one is generally better for an undergraduate CS student.

I care about the strength of the CS program, how much support undergrads get, and whether one school is better for internships or research opportunities.

Brown may have a slight advantage in tech visibility and alumni presence in software and startup circles, while Hopkins can be especially useful for research-oriented paths and interdisciplinary technical work. Neither school limits you, but Brown often feels more naturally plugged into the mainstream undergrad CS pipeline.

If the question is which is better for undergraduate CS in the broadest sense, I’d lean Brown. Hopkins becomes the more compelling choice when you specifically want a research-heavy, engineering-linked version of CS rather than the strongest all-around undergrad CS environment.
