The biggest day-to-day tradeoff is that Tulane feels more integrated with a city neighborhood, while Wake Forest feels more self-contained and campus-centered. Both are manageable to get around on foot, but Wake usually comes across as the more enclosed, residential environment, and Tulane can feel a bit more open to the surrounding area because of its New Orleans location next to Audubon Park and the Uptown neighborhood.
