Georgia Tech vs CMU for cybersecurity: which is better for undergrad?

I’m trying to decide between Georgia Tech and Carnegie Mellon for cybersecurity, and I keep seeing people rank them differently depending on the program. I want to understand which school has the stronger overall undergrad experience for cybersecurity, especially in terms of coursework, research, and job preparation.

I’m not looking at one specific year or admissions detail, just the general reputation and fit for a student interested in cybersecurity.

Carnegie Mellon has the edge for undergraduate cybersecurity. Georgia Tech can still be the smarter choice for some students because it offers a broader, often more flexible public-tech environment and a very strong computing education overall. But if the question is which school has the stronger undergraduate experience specifically for cybersecurity in coursework, research depth, and field-specific reputation, CMU is the one I would pick.
