At UCLA, you are in Westwood with Los Angeles right outside, so internships, entertainment, research, and off-campus options are woven into daily life. At Florida State, Tallahassee is much more centered on the university, and that creates a stronger sense that student life, sports, and social routines revolve around campus itself.

The biggest day-to-day difference is the setting. UCLA students often split their attention between campus and the city, and the atmosphere can feel ambitious because so many people are juggling classes with clubs, internships, lab work, or creative projects.
