Do Yale and Harvard have different graduate school outcomes for undergraduates?

Yale is known for a more undergraduate-centered academic culture, strong residential college advising, and close faculty access in many departments. For graduate school applicants, that can translate into more personal recommendation letters, easier relationship-building with professors, and clearer support in shaping an academic profile.

For pre-law and pre-med, the difference is especially small. Both schools have strong advising, strong placement, and major alumni networks. For PhD paths, the practical question is less “Which school places better?” and more “Where will I do stronger research, earn better faculty support, and thrive academically for four years?”
