William & Mary or Clemson for sports culture: which campus has a stronger game day atmosphere?

The biggest practical tradeoff is that Clemson has a campus culture where major sports, especially football, are a central part of student life, while William & Mary has school spirit but a much lighter game day presence. At Clemson, game weekends tend to shape the social atmosphere, turnout is strong, and athletics are a visible part of campus identity. At William & Mary, sports exist as part of student life, but they usually do not dominate the weekend or define the overall vibe in the same way.

Clemson is the school with the noticeably stronger game day atmosphere.
