Is Wake Forest worth the higher cost compared with Colgate for undergrad?

Wake sits in Winston-Salem, which gives students easier access to internships, off-campus restaurants, and a more connected city environment during the school year. Colgate is in a much smaller, more remote setting, which many students love for the close-knit community, but it does mean daily life and in-semester opportunities can feel more contained.

What tends to make the extra cost reasonable is a very specific match: you strongly prefer Wake’s social environment, want its business-related offerings, or know you would take advantage of the larger-campus resources. Without that kind of clear pull, paying substantially less for Colgate is often the smarter decision.
