Is a title necessary for my college admission essay?
I'm in the process of working on my Common App essay and I've been going back and forth about whether or not I should include a title at the top of my essay. I know it isn't technically required, but I've seen some sample essays with titles and some without.
Will having a title make my essay stand out more or is it just unnecessary? I'm kind of worried that if I include one, it'll look try-hard, but if I don't, maybe it'll seem incomplete. Would love to hear what others have done or what advice anyone has gotten from counselors.
