Do you want your social life to be centered mostly on campus or spread across a bigger city? Which school is stronger for your intended major or likely backup major? And where did you feel more comfortable when you visited, especially in classrooms, dining spaces, and residence areas?

If the two are close academically and financially, I would lean toward Clemson for someone prioritizing a strong campus community and a more cohesive four-year environment. I would lean toward Florida State if you want more variety, a bigger social and professional ecosystem, and the advantages of being in a capital city.
