UC Berkeley has the stronger international reputation overall. Its name tends to carry more weight globally across academia, research, technology, public policy, and industry, and it is often recognized as one of the flagship public universities in the United States. King’s College London is also very well respected internationally, especially because it is in London and part of the University of London tradition, but Berkeley usually has broader name recognition and more across-the-board prestige worldwide.
