Amherst vs. Bowdoin: which has a better social life for undergraduates?

Amherst tends to have the more active and varied undergraduate social life. Its Five College setting gives students access not just to Amherst’s campus scene, but also to events, clubs, performances, and friends at UMass, Smith, Mount Holyoke, and Hampshire, which creates more weekend options and a bigger social orbit than Bowdoin usually offers.
