Is MIT worth it compared with Williams for a STEM-focused student?

For a STEM-focused student, MIT is usually worth choosing over Williams if you already know you want a highly technical, intensive environment with deep research access and a campus built around science and engineering. MIT offers far more breadth in engineering fields, more advanced lab infrastructure, and a student culture where STEM is the default language of campus.

MIT fits students who want to be surrounded by peers who are intensely excited about building, coding, theorizing, and experimenting all the time. The curriculum is demanding, but the upside is that you are plugged into a place with major research centers and very direct pipelines into grad school, startups, and technical careers.
