Which is better for finance careers: Adelphi or Quinnipiac?

I’m trying to figure out which school would give me a stronger path into finance after college. Both Adelphi and Quinnipiac are on my list, but I’m mostly focused on internships, recruiting, and overall career opportunities in finance.

I’m looking at them from the perspective of a student who wants to build a resume and get a good first job in the field.

For finance careers, Quinnipiac usually has the clearer edge if your priority is building a resume through internships, employer access, and a more business-centered undergraduate environment. Its School of Business is a major part of campus life, and the Connecticut location gives you reasonable access to both the New York and Boston job markets.

Quinnipiac makes the most sense for the student who wants a campus where business is highly prominent and where a lot of peers are chasing similar internship and recruiting goals. That kind of environment can matter because clubs, alumni conversations, career events, and class projects often end up reinforcing each other. For someone trying to land internships early and build momentum by sophomore year, that structure can be useful.

Adelphi can still work well, especially for a student who wants to stay closely tied to the New York area from the start. Its Long Island location is a real asset, and being closer to the city can help with commuting to internships, networking events, and part-time opportunities during the school year. That can be especially valuable for a self-directed student who is comfortable doing a lot of outreach independently rather than relying on a heavily built-out campus recruiting culture.

Adelphi fits better for the student who wants a somewhat smaller-feeling setting and plans to take advantage of proximity to NYC in a hands-on way. If you are the type to cold-email alumni, search aggressively for internships, and use location as your main advantage, Adelphi can absolutely produce solid outcomes. But it may require more initiative from you to turn that location into consistent finance experience.

If the question is which school gives the stronger built-in path, I would lean Quinnipiac. If the question is which school could work well for a highly proactive student determined to leverage New York access, Adelphi becomes more interesting.
