NYU vs UChicago for pre med: which is better for undergrad preparation?

The biggest practical tradeoff is structure versus flexibility: UChicago offers a more traditional residential college experience with very strong academics and research, while NYU puts you in the middle of a major medical and research ecosystem but with a more decentralized campus experience. For premed, both can work well, but the day-to-day path can feel different. For staying on track for med school, NYU may be a bit easier logistically if you want access to hospitals, shadowing, volunteering, and biomedical research without leaving the city center.
