Should I choose University of Delaware or Arizona State University for business?

The biggest practical tradeoff is scale and network versus a more traditional, smaller-campus business experience. Arizona State gives you a very large business ecosystem through the W. P. Carey School of Business, a huge alumni base, and access to the Phoenix metro area, which creates a lot of internship volume during the school year. University of Delaware offers a more contained campus feel and a respected business program, but the surrounding market is smaller and the business scene is less expansive day to day.

For business specifically, ASU has the edge in breadth. W. P. Carey is well known, offers many majors and specialization options, and tends to provide more built-in recruiting activity simply because of its size and employer reach. For students who want options in finance, marketing, supply chain, business analytics, or management, that larger platform can matter.

Delaware is still a credible choice, especially if you want a more classic East Coast college environment and potentially easier access to the Northeast corridor for later job searches. Its Lerner College of Business has solid academics and a loyal regional reputation. But for sheer internship access while enrolled, ASU benefits from being in a major and fast-growing metro area with a lot of companies nearby.

One thing that matters here is how you learn. At ASU, you need to be comfortable being proactive at a very large university, because opportunities are there but competition and self-navigation are real. Delaware can feel more personal and easier to navigate, which some students use very well.

If the question is which school is the stronger pick for business education plus internship and job opportunity, Arizona State is the better choice more often than Delaware. I would lean Delaware only if cost is meaningfully better or you strongly prefer its campus setting and want to build your career mainly in the Mid-Atlantic or Northeast.
