UC San Diego vs UC Berkeley for biology research: which is better for undergrad research opportunities?

I’m trying to decide between UC San Diego and UC Berkeley and want to focus on biology research as an undergrad. I know both schools are strong overall, but I’m mainly interested in how easy it is to get involved in labs, find research mentors, and build experience early on.
