UT Austin or Texas A&M: which school has better school spirit?

Texas A&M is more widely known for having the stronger, more all-encompassing school spirit. A&M’s identity is deeply tied to shared traditions like Midnight Yell, the Aggie Ring, Muster, and a very visible culture around football and campus pride. At UT Austin, school pride is definitely real, especially around Longhorn athletics, but it usually feels less uniform and less central to everyday student life than it does at A&M.

A&M tends to fit students who want a campus where tradition is a major part of the experience and where a lot of people actively participate in the same rituals. The school spirit there is not just about game days. It shows up in language, symbols, events, and a strong sense of being part of the Aggie community.
