Boston University vs UNC for business: which is better for an undergraduate business degree?

For undergraduate business, UNC has the edge. Kenan-Flagler is one of the most established undergraduate business programs in the country, and at UNC business is a major focal point rather than one strong school within a very large private university. That usually translates into a more defined business identity, a tighter alumni network in the field, and especially strong placement in consulting, finance, and corporate recruiting.

One major differentiator is the structure of the business program itself. At UNC, the undergraduate experience through Kenan-Flagler is highly visible and well known to employers, and students often benefit from a clear pipeline into business clubs, case competitions, and recruiting channels tied directly to the b-school. At BU, Questrom is respected and offers solid academics, but BU’s undergraduate business presence is not typically viewed with quite the same prestige or employer recognition as Kenan-Flagler.

Another difference is recruiting geography.
